Hi Ms. Mongno,
I think the most difficult thing from this semester was to those the just right book for me I think this is difficult because when I those a book it is always too hard for me but I want to read it so that’s difficult for me. The most easy thing from this semester was writing because when I start writing a story I can’t stop so I just keep writing and writing so that’s very easy for me. My dad says that I have moved a grade up in reading so I think that is the most progressed in learning English for me this semester. My speaking skills are getting better because I am learning a lot of vocabulary. My listening is getting better by listening to the teacher and following directions. My writing is getting better by putting strong words in my writing. My reading is getting better by reading books that I understand and that are not too hard for me. My goal for the next semester is to become the same level in reading as all my friends are. I really want to be good at soccer, I want to get some new friends, and I want to have fun in the new semester.
Hello, Mrs.Mongono
When I was in this semester the vocabuly was hard for me and understanding .The easiest thing was I get to know 5th grader real easy so I got new friend, too. I really improve my level of reading, I learn different skills to write story and I listening as well. My goal for next semester is learn more vocab and get out of ESL to learn different language. I want to improve a reading level by reading a lot every day.My goal for next year is I will study harder and I am going to catc
To find my nonfiction level book was difficult for me because I had to find lower level than fiction book and reading fiction book was easy, not very easy but it was fun to read and I could read books what I read already in Korean. I advanced my reading like read every each day about 30 minutes and my goal for next semester is using new post it skill and for writing is using better words for show my feeling or happen. I want to improve my vocabulary using little note book like when I read a book and if I see the new words write them on the little note book and go everywhere with this and read the words or learn by heart. My new year’s goal is go out of ESL because I want to learn another language and my goal for in other areas of my life besides school is not fight with friends and make more friends (I want other country friends).
Hi, Mrs. Mongno
A thing that was difficult for me on first semester was to write a good story and to read a book that’s just right to me (level). Writing was difficult because I wasn’t good at zooming in to the one moment, and I couldn’t think of any word to describe (I didn’t have enough vocabulary). For reading, to find a book was difficult for me because I wasn’t good at finding a book it’s just right to me. Also to finish my homework was difficult because I got much homework and I had work to do at my house.
A thing that was easy for me on first semester was to speak with my friend or teacher because I learned English last year and this year, and I also could understand what my teacher said better than last year.
I tried to read thirty minutes every single day. Writing, I took an idea from a book that my teacher talked about. For listening and speaking, I could speak more English. I spoke English with my friend but not at recess. My sister said I can improve speaking it by talking with my friend, too.
My goal for next semester is to be not in ESL. I think it’s very hard, but I want to try. I will improve it by like speaking more English than first semester with my friend. And I also want to become two or three level greater than my level. My goal besides school is to be a good tennis player. I can’t play tennis very well, so I want to belike my dad.
Merry X’mas and Happy New Year Ms.Mongno,
In the 1st semester, the difficult thing is writing a paragraph story about you(me). Because we have to zoomed in the one part of the story, this we called seeds story which took me a long time to write and edited it. While, the easiest thing in the 1st semester is reading my book and learning more vocabularies, because this also make my brain learning more and more exciting words to use in the future.
The 1st semester in reading I think I’ve make a good progress of learning more vocabularies skills, even though I was new here in I.S.B. For the speaking and listening I think this improved me to be able to take a chance to show the work to your classmates and be able to acted. And the last but not least, writing… Which makes me a little bit difficult, but I think I make a good progress of writing a story when I have to zoomed in.
For the next semester my goals is to be able to read a high level books, to not be in the ESL, and to be more active in class. Which all of this I’d planned that I’ll pratice in the subjects I have planned.
For the goals beside me is to be a good golfer, like Tiger Wood have done in the past.
Have a Nice New Year Eve!!!! :] (>_<)
Hi!
I think the most difficalt thing for me in this semester was to write personal neritives. It was difficalt because I needed to write the story with alot of detail. The easy thing was to pick my books on my level because I learned the 5 finger test last year too. My progers is advancing at reading because I think I read my books more ofen every day. My gool for next semester is to improve on writing. I want to write a daiary at my house because then I am writing at my house too. I also want to type faster because I`m always slow at typing when we start typing our story. I want to improve that by finding a good typing program in the internet.Other gools for next year is play more sports ofen. I want to do that because I feel I need to improve my grades on P.E. too.
Hi,Miss Mongno!
The thing that is hard for me at this semester is that I’m not good at speaking and writing because I came from a Trilingual school and my vocab is not that strong like my other friends. The thing that is easy for me at this semester is that I can zoom in on a small moment very well. What I like to improve is that I want to learn more vocap and I will try to speak more with my friends. My goal for next semester is that I will try to read more books and speak more English at home.
In this semester, learning so many vocaburaly has been difficult for me, but it was really fantastic to know vocaburalys to write better stories. learning vocaburalys were difficult for me because, it took so much time and remembering the meaning of each word is really comfusing.
Founding my level books has been easy for me in this semester. It was easy for me because I really loved doing it, and also I like reading books.By reading lots of books I could study many things and it doesn‘t take so much time.
I think I‘m advanced in writing because at first I couldn‘t use many fantastic word and complete sentences but after learning more things about writing I think I am little advanced.
My goal for next semester is to speak more fruently and I want to learn more vocaburalys. The other thing I want to get better in other subject is to ran the track more faster and work hard on many other new things.
Hi! Ms.Mongno!
The difficult thing in the first semeter is to read the non-fiction books.Because the non-fiction books are very hard for me and that I need to find the easier books of nonfiction. Also, because at nonfiction books I learned a lot of the new words.
The easy thing of the first semeter is read my right level’s(O,P) books, because that the words in the books are easy to me.
I want to advance reading,I think I can read the books everyday over 1 hour and read aloud to my dad.
My goals for next year is make my reading level up and do more excercise, because i want to learn the new vocab in the new levle books. Also, for the excercise that because i want to have good fitness.
Some of you have been having trouble posting on our blog. Let’s see if this works.
I had hard time to choose my nonfiction books
and also some fiction books.
And also nonfiction books are hard because it has
real information about one subject.
My new year goal is to read historical fiction books and
some level O,P (and some Qs) book and understand the book’s plot.
Also, I’m going to make inference about it.
Hi everyone,
I think that the most difficult time of the semester was when I had to fined my own level for books. I also think that it was hard because I have just started checking it for myself and I still am not so good at this. The easiest subject I have is math and I think so because it is almost the same as I did in Israel. My goal is to be batter at spelling.
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!
Hi Mrs.M
I had hard time my first semester in I.S.B because I’m an new student for I.S.B.
But at math I didn’t have any problem. And I am an ESL student and believe me english is an hard language for a lot of people in this world. I really liked ISB because it is teaching exactly in my level I really want to go to sixth grade after all what I heard about middle school I don’t want to leave Elementary
In the 1st semester choosing the right level was hard because I didn’t know what book I should read. I also had trouble with saying the S sounds. EAP was also hard, but when I learn new vocabulary I got better. I want to write neater, so people can read my writing. My goals are to write neater and become better at English.
