Get Ready for Nonfiction Reading!
We are beginning a unit of study on Nonfiction Reading. But what does that mean?
Well, we know the suffix non means not , so we know that nonfiction means not fiction . This means we will be reading and learning about all sorts of topics that are real. We’ll read informational texts, newspapers, magazines and journals. We can read about anything we want to know more about.
Think about what you already know about nonfiction texts. Write what you know about this genre.
Then write some of the topics you are interested in learning more about. Think and write some of the questions about this topic that you want to find the answers to.

I knew that the Nonfiction mean not fiction and the thing or happenings that are true. I knew that already, but i can’t think anymore.
I knew Nonfiction book has table of contents, index, sub title, etc. kind of like fiction book has. And Mrs.Mangno told us that if we want to read the Nonfiction book, we have to read the book that is about 2level down from your level.
I want to know how skier became a good skier, what they eat to be a good skier and what they practice to be a good skier. I eant to know that by reading a Nonfiction books.
Non Fiction book is the book that happened in this world no metter if it’s old or new. It has to be real. In the non fiction book there is something called content that tells you where is the page number of the thing that you want to read. There is some other thing in the book that is called index, picture, dialogue, subtitle, ofcourse the title of the book. I am interested who made soccer in this world and which soccer team was the first one to play real soccer match. Also who explored an braziland all over the world. I also want to know about star because my family said that when you look at stars that stand for something.

Non Fiction is that books, articles or texts about real facts, people and events. Well, Non Fiction is that could happen in real life.
I want to know about explorers. One things that I want to know is that how to survive from the dangeor. Another thing that I would like to know is that how do they feel when they discover the lands, and I also wants to know that what will they do when they discover the new land.
My goal is to read more Non Fiction book in this year!!
In our class, we learned the reasons for why are they exploer. But I want to learn more about explorer so I search in computer one day. Then I learn more about why are they explore.

I think that Non Fiction books are written to learn something new and to enjoy just like fiction books. In Non Fiction books you can find index, glossary and even find out more about the book or its topic. The topic I want to find out more is dogs. My questions are, how do dogs sleep and how do you know what food to get them?

Today I’m going to told you about Non-Fiction that, Non-Fiction is a true and facts story. Usually Non-Fictions used for learning. Non-Fiction is the opposite word of Fiction. Also Non-Fiction is texts, Graph, information and more.
My favorite topics in Non-Fiction are about the outer space, and the questions I want to ask are
• How can our world have a very strong force?
• Where the sun does came from?
• How can they put the satellite out of space?
• Who is the first person in the world?
• Which is the coldest planet in the whole space?
Mrs. Mongo I know what non fiction mean. Non fiction means something that happen real life. Fiction mean that not real. So if you add, non it will real. I think author write non fiction to give information about something. I also think non fiction are useful to kids who is study about non fiction.

I know that nonfiction is real. You can find nonfiction in newspapers, magazines, journals, information texts, and you can find it in the library. I also know that when you read nonfiction you have to read 2 levels below your real reading level. That’s because nonfiction is much harder, and there would be some words you wouldn’t understand, and then it wouldn’t be fun to read if you didn’t understand what the book was telling you. I also know that nonfiction is very important to read. I want to know more about why animals have whiskers and what they need them for? My question is why do animals even have whiskers? My next question is what do they use them for?

I know that nonfiction is a kind of a genre that tells you facts or something that is true.I know that nonfiction has alot of features like table of contens, Index and glossory ect. Also I learned that you need to read nonfiction on a 1-3 lower level from Mr.Dudash and you.
This year I want read alot of books on animals because I want have a pet. I mostly want know about how you could know what they are thinking about.

Mrs.Mongno I know that nonfiction is a not a fake story which is real story Nonfiction is story that tell you a fact and make you learn something from it. If you read fiction your level is Q you read nonfiction 2 level down because nonfiction is harder then fiction. Here is some question, what animal is a big cat? Is liger a lion or tiger?

I know that non-fiction is type of books that is not true and not false. Non-fiction has lots of facts and it tells so many things about the topic of the book. I think non-fiction is great because there is glossary to help me understand the hard world and index to help me find out things I want to know. In this unit I want to learn books about dogs because I have a dog and I want to learn lots about him. And also I want to be a better reader.
